In the whirlwind of life’s demands and expectations, we often find ourselves lost in the pursuit of self-growth, dreams, happiness, and healing. We prioritize authenticity and yet, sometimes, we forget the one person who deserves our kindness and love the most: ourselves. The Yearning for Authenticity

During 2023, I didn’t want to jump back on here half-heartedly to keep up with the positive posts.
Behind closed doors and in my privacy, I couldn’t keep up with the positive posts. I tried, too, but I was so unenthusiastic and uninspired, which was very unnatural and uncommon for me. I’ve been creating and sharing positivity for years. And, to come to a halt, it was unlike me.
But, what was “unlike me” kept me in a familiar pattern and way of living—to a certain ceiling.
I knew I had trapped myself in this ceiling, in this box, in this identity. Do you have those moments that you can’t anymore—and want to break free?
What was calling for my attention was to pivot. And, to pivot fast, soon, and dive right in.
I had a passionate burning desire and longing to live an exhilarated life that honestly danced a fine line of impossible and daring you to do it.
Deep down, I craved to be the truest self who walked boldly in this chapter towards her inspiring ideas and dreams.
I knew I needed to focus on what lights me up, not what I think others wanted and expected of me.
It was my private mission for myself to discover and go after what I was meant to pursue.
🌻I had no other choice than to give myself permission as long as I needed to explore and expand myself from everything that I’ve been doing up to this point.
⚡️It meant abandoning expectations that were once helpful and productive for me.
⚡️It meant abandoning rules that were once motivating and traded it in for a more longevity and loving approaches.
⚡️It meant abandoning good habits I’ve been doing for years for habits that actually feel invigorating.
⚡️It meant abandoning set beliefs around myself for continuous updated beliefs that are all centered around healing, improving, and advancing.
⚡️It meant abandoning my prior identities to transform into my truest loving self that cannot fail when I am authentic.
The Importance of Self-Compassion
In this journey towards authenticity and self-discovery, we often encounter moments when we’re our harshest critics. We judge ourselves for not meeting our own expectations, for perceived failures, and for the inability to maintain the positivity we project outwardly. This is where self-compassion becomes not just a priority but a lifeline.
Self-compassion is the art of treating oneself with the same kindness and understanding that we would offer a dear friend. It’s a practice that allows us to acknowledge our imperfections, embrace our humanity, and love ourselves unconditionally.
